Osteopathic Treatment of Infants and Children

Treatment with Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine during infancy and childhood offers the greatest opportunity to affect a person's life long health than its use in any other age group. Problems that may initially be small and easy to treat may with time transform into a more complicated and difficult condition.

Children are treated in all age groups. This includes premature babies in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, infants, school age children, adolescents and young adults. The conditions treated include both the common and the unusual. The approach in children is the same as for people of any age, find and remove the restriction that is preventing the child from being well. Conditions commonly treated include:
