Osteopathic Treatment & People Affected by Cancer

Those affected by cancer not only need to respond and overcome the direct effects of the cancer on their body, but also side effects of the treatments used to fight the cancer.

Cancer's direct effects may include pain and abnormal body function. Side effects of traditional cancer treatment may include nausea, vomiting, pain, and abnormal muscle function. Even after the cancer is defeated there may be long term side effects of both the cancer or the cancer treatments.

We work with all other involved health-care providers so the Osteopathic treatment will be integrated into a total care plan. While not a primary treatment of cancer, we believe integration of our care will increase the benefits of care, and decrease side-effects.
